Rhinos Roll to 8-2 Win Over Tigers
|
The Redwood Rhinos got a stellar effort from pitcher Chim Luu, helping Redwood score a 8-2 win over the visiting Twinsburg Tigers. Luu, the winner, moves to 5-1. He threw 5.1 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 6 and giving up 2 walks. The Rhinos saw their win-loss record go to 44-36. At the same time, the Tigers fell to 36-44.
Redwood left fielder Stan Daniels staked his team to an early lead in the bottom of the second inning, when he hit a sacrifice fly with the bases loaded.
"I thought we played a nice game," Daniels told the Redwood Bulletin. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
