The Long Island Ducks did just enough to secure a 5-4 victory over the Ladue Rams at Ducks Park. Nobody did more than pitcher Iukekini Kaliona, who captured player of the game honors. The winner was Everton Stirzacre in relief. His record improves to 3-0. Albert Crawford took the loss. Long Island leads the Premier R by 4 games.

The game came to a dramatic end. In the bottom of the ninth, with Long Island trailing 4-3, George Samuels hit a fastball from Albert Crawford for a 2-run home run, giving the Ducks the walk-off win.

"Baseball is about momentum," said Samuels, "and we feel we've got it in our favor after that win."
