Fort Knox right-hander Clark Ritchie pitched his team to victory over the Hicksville Hounds at Ballpark of Baxter. The final score was 8-7. The save was credited to Ed Cameron, his 2nd. The last-place Hounds have dropped 4 straight games.

Don Barnes had a big 2-run single for the Centennial in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Fort Knox leading 1-0 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from Chris Johnson and stroked the single to left. It was his 55th hit of the season, and more importantly, it put the Centennial ahead, 3-0.

"I tried to mix it up, keep them off balance," said Ritchie.
