The Centennial faced a stiff challenge from Twinsburg pitcher Billy Ramsey, but persevered to claim a win at Dodge Field. The final score was 4-1. Ramsey went 7.1 innings and allowed 4 earned runs. Harvey O'Keefe converted his 6th save in 8 tries. With the win, the Centennial have a record of 31-34.
Fort Knox second baseman Lloyd Griffin contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the fourth. With two down, he hit a slider into left-center field for a run-scoring double. It was his 10th double of the season and put the Centennial ahead, 3-1.
"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Fort Knox skipper Justin Saginov.
