The Tulsa Otters got a sterling performance from pitcher Mario Rosales, but the Rhinos still prevailed, 5-3. Rosales was named the player of the game in a losing cause. He threw 6 innings of 5-hit ball. Ramon Roodenburg nailed down his 4th save. The Otters, now 18-36, have lost 6 in a row.
Redwood used the timely hitting of Arturo Beltrán to seize the win. The catcher stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the fourth inning to put the Rhinos on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"We'll enjoy this win," said Beltrán. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
