Centennial Clip Tigers in Tight Contest

Fort Knox and Twinsburg got after it at Dodge Field.
The Centennial faced a stiff challenge from Twinsburg pitcher Cédric Barbot, but persevered to claim a win at Dodge Field. The final score was 6-2. Barbot went 6.1 innings and allowed 1 earned run. David Kelly got credit for the win, improving to 2-0. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.2 innings.
The outcome might have been different for Fort Knox, had it not been for Bubba Baker, the 20-year old right fielder . Baker stroked a bases-clearing double in the top of the ninth inning to put Fort Knox up, 6-2. For the game, he was 2 for 4, including 1 double and 1 single.
"I felt we were ready to go," said Fort Knox manager Justin Saginov. "Our pregame was pretty good."
The Centennial, at 24-27, have now won 5 straight.
