The Twinsburg Tigers bested the Hicksville Hounds, 13-1, at Dodge Field. Ernie Lewis was named player of the game. He was 4 for 5 with a home run and 3 singles. He scored 3 times and drove in 4. Raúl Nieves earned the win to go to 2-5. He allowed 1 earned run on 4 hits, with no walks and 13 strikeouts. The Tigers improve their record to 13-25 with the win over Hicksville.

Roland Thomas had a big 2-run single for the Tigers in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Twinsburg leading 2-1 and the bases loaded, he got a splitter from Vic Trewick and stroked the single to left. It was his 32nd hit of the season, and more importantly, it put the Tigers ahead, 4-1.

"I thought we played a nice game," Lewis told the Twinsburg Chronicle. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
