Tigers Pick Up 6-2 Win
|
Larry Thompson had a good game, but he could not keep the Hicksville Hounds from falling, 6-2, to the Twinsburg Tigers at Dodge Field. The Hicksville third baseman was 3-4 with a double and 2 singles in the loss. Twinsburg reliever Emery William was credited with the win, to go to 3-2. Tim Stroud took the loss for Hicksville. With the win over Hicksville, the Tigers improved to 12-25.
Twinsburg took a 4-2 lead on Roland Thomas's 30th hit of the season. The 2-run single, which Thomas hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Hicksville pitcher Tim Stroud shaking his head.
"It's nice to come out on top today," said Thomas.
