Otters Nip Centennial, 3-2
|
Fort Knox catcher Jon Lake had a good game, even if his team did not. The Centennial dropped a 3-2 decision to Tulsa at Ballpark of Hughesville. Lake was 2-3 with a home run. The winner was Tulsa reliever Mike Bergquist, now 1-0. The loser was Tommy Casey. Nathan May finished the game for Tulsa and earned his 6th save.
Tulsa took a 3-2 lead on Greg Nieto's 23rd hit of the season. The run-scoring single, which Nieto hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Fort Knox pitcher Tommy Casey shaking his head.
"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Nieto said after the game.
Tulsa, at 12-19, sits in 8th place in the Premier R.
