Redwood got an elite performance from starting pitcher Chim Luu in taking a 7-1 decision over the Hicksville Hounds. In 6.1 innings, Luu surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 2 and walking 2. He allowed no runs. Ramon Roodenburg got credit for the save for Redwood. It was his 3rd of the year.

Though it wasn't a flawless game -- few are -- the fans who filled the stands at The Zoo seemed to enjoy watching the USPL Rookie action.

"We put it together today and came out with the win," Luu said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."

After today's action, Redwood sits at 18-12, while Hicksville falls to 12-18.
