Hicksville pitcher Boryenka Pospehov gave the Rams all they could handle, but in the end, Ladue left Ballpark of Wellsville with a 6-5 win. Pospehov allowed 1 earned run on 3 hits over 6 innings. Mauro Flores picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-0. Tim Stroud was tagged with the loss. Ladue currently is in third place in the Premier R at 13-9.
Da-xia Hui had the critical at-bat for Ladue. With one out in the bottom of the ninth inning, he hit a walk-off run-scoring single. It gave Ladue the 6-5 walk-off win.
"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Hui said.
