Rhinos Hope Win Turns Around Slow Start
|
Redwood turned a good effort from starter Nicholas Sullivan into a win over the Hudsonville Flanderses at The Zoo. The final score was 3-1. Sullivan got the win, improving to 1-1. He allowed 4 hits and walked 2 over 6.1 innings. Sullivan allowed no earned runs. The save was credited to Ramon Roodenburg, his 1st.
The Rhinos got a big at-bat from second baseman Ralph Ludwig. For the game, Ludwig was 1 for 4. He drove in 2 runs. In the bottom of the third, with the bases loaded, he stroked a 2-run single. His 12th hit of the season gave Redwood a 2-0 lead.
"I really like what we did out there today," Sullivan said after the game.
Losses have been rare for the Flanderses, who are now 8-3.
