Hounds Get Win, Hope to Turn Around Slow Start
|
Hicksville Hounds starter Bob Larsen turned in an exceptional performance against the Tulsa Otters at Ballpark of Hughesville, resulting in a Hicksville win, 5-2. Tim Stroud sewed up the save, his 1st. Hicksville is still hoping to get on a roll. The win is just their 3rd in 9 games.
Larry Thompson drove in one run for Hicksville. The 19-year old third baseman had a key at-bat in the top of the fourth. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Benjamin Renninger. It was his 1st RBI of the season.
"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Thompson said.
