Late Rally by Hounds Secures Win
The Hicksville Hounds defeated the Twinsburg Tigers, 5-4. Earning player of the game honors was first baseman Timothy Hayes, who went 4 for 5 with a home run and 3 singles, while scoring 3 times. Hicksville reliever Tim Stroud picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Raúl Nieves took the loss. With the loss, Twinsburg sinks to 3-2.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the ninth. With two out, Hayes hit a fastball from Raúl Nieves for a solo home run. The Hounds, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Hayes told a Hicksville Daily News reporter. "Sometimes we need just to relax."
