Kent starter Tadao Ishihara had a strong outing against the Galesburg Guzzlers at Galesburg Field. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 4-2 win. Kent is now 36-58, while Galesburg is 53-41.

Kent relied on the hitting of Zhao-ji Pan to pick up the win. The catcher clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Comets on top, 4-0. For the game, Pan had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Ishihara told the Kent Citizen.
