Guzzlers Stymie South Beach, Take 2-1 Win
|
The Galesburg Guzzlers got a magnificent performance from pitcher Anathapinda Sahar, who muffled the South Beach offense en route to a tight 2-1 Guzzlers win at The Ballpark on the Beach. Aarnoud Luyks finished the game for Galesburg and earned his 5th save. Galesburg is now 49-34.
Luis Flores had a big run-scoring double for the Guzzlers in the top of the sixth inning. With Galesburg leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he got a fastball from Shan-tang Yang and stroked the double to center. It was his 4th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Guzzlers ahead, 2-0.
"Enjoyed this one," Sahar told the Galesburg Gazette. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
