|
Cut Off Crawdads starter Herb Willis was in fine form against the Rocky Mountain Vibes at Bellevue Field, leading his team to a 4-3 win. Willis went 5 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 2, and struck out 2. His record improves to 4-3. At 44-37, Cut Off is in 6th place in the Premier A.
Cut Off used the timely hitting of Rich Dalzell to seize the win. The center fielder stroked a 2-run single in the top of the third inning to put the Crawdads on top, 4-1. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"I was a little disappointed," said Rocky Mountain manager Brooks Dempsey. "We could've and should've scored more runs."
