Blaze Get One-Run Win at Myrtle Beach
|
The Blaze had to overcome a good performance from Myrtle Beach pitcher Basem Al-Saodi to claim a 3-2 win at Seahwaks Stadium. Al-Saodi went 7 innings and allowed 2 earned runs. Pedro Arredondo got the win, improving to 6-4. He held the Seahawks to 2 earned runs on 5 hits over 5.2 innings, while striking out 3 and walking 3. After today's action, South Beach sits at 42-37, while Myrtle Beach falls to 48-31.
The Blaze benefited from a costly error in the top of the third. With Raúl Miranda at bat and South Beach leading 2-1, the Myrtle Beach miscue allowed South Beach to plate 1 and take the lead, 3-1.
"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Miranda said.
