Seahawks Fall to Vibes, 3-1
|
The Vibes faced a stiff challenge from Myrtle Beach pitcher William Morán, but persevered to claim a win at Bellevue Field. The final score was 3-1. Morán went 5.1 innings and allowed 1 earned run. Pepe Franco picked up the win, improving his season record to 3-3. He struck out 2 in 5 innings. Kenny Pollock earned the save, his 15th, for the Vibes.
In the bottom of the second, Juan Rea hit a run-scoring triple for Rocky Mountain. The 2nd triple of the season for the Rocky Mountain shortstop put the Vibes on top, 1-0.
"It's nice to come out on top today," said Rea.
The Vibes improved to 44-31.
