Loss Extends Kent Losing Streak
The Myrtle Beach Seahawks went home winners at Fuller Park, thanks in large part to starter Basem Al-Saodi. Al-Saodi silenced the Kent Comets, enabling Myrtle Beach to grab the 3-0 win. Al-Saodi, the winner, moves to 3-8. He threw 6.1 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 4 and giving up no walks. The Comets, at 25-41, have lost 7 straight games.

Myrtle Beach used the clutch hitting of Anton Zdravomyslov to capture the win. The right fielder drilled a bases-clearing double in the top of the first inning to give the Seahawks the lead, 3-0. For the game, Zdravomyslov had 1 single and 1 double in 4 at-bats.
