|
Cut Off rode a fine outing from starter Herb Willis to victory over the Galesburg Guzzlers at Crawdads Field. The final score was 3-1. The winning pitcher was Willis, now 3-2. He tossed 7 innings of 2-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 3. Lewis Goodman converted his 6th save in 7 tries.
Cut Off took a 2-0 lead on Michael Warner's 7th home run of the season. The solo home run came off Galesburg pitcher Rob Durnford in the bottom of the seventh.
"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Warner.
Cut Off is now 36-30. Galesburg is 38-28.
