Bhu Damocles never let Galesburg get something going. The Cut Off right-hander commanded his fastball in pitching the Crawdads to a 3-1 win. In 7.1 innings, Damocles surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 1. He allowed 1 run. At 14-9, Cut Off is in third place in the Premier A.
Juan David Fernán helped his team jump on top from the get-go. His first time up in the top of the first, he cranked a run-scoring single to give Cut Off a 1-0 lead.
"For the most part, I stayed out of the middle of the plate," Damocles said.
