Chiefs Roll to 8-3 Win Over Crawdads

In baseball, each game is unique. This one was no different.
The Caldwell Chiefs topped the Cut Off Crawdads by the score of 8-3, with the largest share of the credit going to designated hitter Dan Webb. Webb hit 2 home runs for the Chiefs. Martín Galindo got the win, improving to 2-2. He held the Crawdads to 3 earned runs on 3 hits over 5 innings, while striking out 5 and walking 2.
The Chiefs grabbed the lead in the top of the fifth. With two out, Bob Holmes hit a 2-run home run off Charles Cleveland, putting Caldwell in front, 7-3. For Holmes, it was his 1st home run of the season.
"I just try to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Holmes.
The win lifts Caldwell to a record of 8-11.
