Rocky Mountain and Kent duked it out at Fuller Park and the Vibes came out victorious.

The Rocky Mountain Vibes took Kent pitcher Fredrick Shive's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Fuller Park. The final score had Rocky Mountain getting past the Comets, 6-3. Shive went 7 innings and allowed 3 earned runs, striking out 12. Juan Carmona, the winner, improved to 2-0. He held the Comets to 3 earned runs on 6 hits over 7.1 innings, while striking out 1 and walking 3.

Rocky Mountain relied on the hitting of David Mooney to pick up the win. The third baseman ripped a 2-run triple in the top of the eighth inning to put the Vibes on top, 4-1. For the game, Mooney had 1 triple and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"I still think this team has room for improvement," Mooney told the Rocky Mountain Bulletin.

The win brings the Vibes to 10-7, a promising start as the team looks to return to the playoffs.
