Guzzlers Rally For Late Win Over Vandals
|
Benefiting from Cheh Che's productive game, the Galesburg Guzzlers downed the Eugene Vandals, 6-5. Che went 2 for 3 with a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Guzzlers. Galesburg reliever Daniel St. John picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Doug Swanson took the loss. The loss drops Eugene to 0-8.
Che went 2 for 3 with a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored once against the Vandals. With the game tied in the bottom of the eighth inning, he hit a sacrifice fly that scored 1 and put Galesburg in front, 6-5.
"Win or lose, we always try to grind it out and stay even-keeled," Che said in reaction to the win.
