Laredo played host to Niagara Falls at the friendly confines of Hawks Field.
Laredo Hawks starter Gavriil Wolfson pitched a strong game against the Niagara Falls Expos at Hawks Field, leading the Hawks to a 10-4 win. The winning pitcher was Wolfson, now 5-1. He tossed 5.1 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 11.
João Lourenço had a big 2-run single for the Hawks in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Laredo leading 4-3 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from Theo Von Heezik and stroked the single to right. It was his 77th hit of the season, and more importantly, it put the Hawks ahead, 6-3.
"I like our moxie," said Hawks manager Leonardo Sánchez.
The 'W' lifts Laredo's record to 56-36.
