Grim first baseman Joe Holmes had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Holmes went 3-4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored once, even as Levittown beat the Reapers, 4-3. Holmes was named the player of the game despite the loss. Luiz Palmeiro, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 8th save. The Blue Dragons own a robust 57-32 mark.
In the bottom of the second, with Levittown leading 2-0, third baseman Ernesto Valenzuela hit a run-scoring double. The hit came off Iban Wilson and put the Blue Dragons ahead, 3-0.
Valenzuela called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."
