Reapers Drop Blue Dragons with Late Score
|
Levittown got a terrific performance from pitcher Francisco Díaz, but it wasn't enough to beat the Grim Reapers. Grim won the The Cave at Levittown contest, 4-3. Díaz was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He threw 6 innings of shutout ball. Grim reliever Yoichi Amano was the winner. His record is now 6-4. Enreecko Rodriguez took the loss. Josse Gavicho finished to wrap up his 22nd save.
Grim used the clutch hitting of Getoff Mylawn to capture the win. The right fielder drilled a run-scoring double in the top of the eighth inning to give the Reapers the lead, 4-3. For the game, Mylawn had 1 single and 1 double in 3 at-bats.
"We squandered some opportunities," said Levittown manager Félix Cruz.
The 4th-place Reapers have won 5 straight.
