Generals Nip Bulls, 5-4
Despite a great performance by Belleville right fielder Román Ramos, the Washington Generals defeated the Bulls by the score of 5-4 at Belleville Field. Ramos was 4 for 5 with 3 doubles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Earning his 5th save for Washington was Tony Nelson. Their 31-48 record puts the Generals 8th in the Silver A.

Washington used the timely hitting of Asko Huhtamo to capture the win. The first baseman socked a bases-clearing double in the top of the first inning to put the Generals ahead, 3-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was an important one.

"In baseball, you have your ups and downs," said Belleville manager Lou Cook. "You just try to stay level-headed the whole time."
