Victory Over 1787 BC Takes Levittown to 49-23
|
Levittown Blue Dragons starter Edward Martin pitched a strong game against the Delaware 1787 BC at Carrier Field, leading the Blue Dragons to a 2-0 win. Luiz Palmeiro was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 4 of 4 save opportunities. Levittown is now 49-23, 6½ games up in the Silver A.
Levittown used the timely hitting of Aaron Attyte to capture the win. The left fielder socked a 2-run double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Blue Dragons ahead, 2-0. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was an important one.
"We did just enough to win," Attyte said.
