Wilson Now 1-0 After Subduing Expos
|
Spirited fans at Waterfall Park greeted the Niagara Falls Expos for their clash with the Laredo Hawks.
Right-hander Mike Wilson mesmerized the Niagara Falls Expos while leading the Laredo Hawks to a 1-0 victory. André Noël sewed up the save, his 13th.
In his 93-pitch effort, Wilson allowed no earned runs on 4 hits over 7.2 innings. He walked 1 and struck out 7.
"That's the key at this level, throwing strike one," said Wilson. "Successful pitchers do it."
Laredo is now 34-26.
