Reapers Come Up Short at Pontiac
The Pontiac Godfathers did just enough to sneak past the Grim Reapers, 3-2, at Pontiac Copperdome. Pontiac catcher Pancho Achio earned player of the game honors. The win was credited to Les Wright in relief. His record improves to 3-0. Radislav Ciger took the loss. Pontiac is now riding a 3-game win streak.

Early in the game, third baseman Brad Dyer had a 2-run home run for Pontiac. It was his 8th home run of the season and put the Godfathers on top, 2-0.

"We squandered some opportunities," said Grim manager Terrence Eler.
