Levittown and Mancelona duked it out at The Cave at Levittown and the Blue Dragons came out victorious.
The Levittown Blue Dragons topped the Mancelona Torch, 6-4, with first baseman Ramón Gabriel playing a big role. Gabriel was 3-4 with 3 singles, while scoring 2 runs for the Blue Dragons in the win. The win was Jing-sheng Bian's in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Danny Byrd took the loss for Mancelona.
In the bottom of the 8th, right fielder Norm Williams gave Levittown the lead when he hit a bases-clearing double. The Blue Dragons had been trailing 4-2, but the two-out double off Mancelona pitcher Hirokazu Morita changed that -- and Levittown went on to win.
Williams told a Levittown Bulletin reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
Mancelona has now lost 4 straight.
