The Niagara Falls Expos did just enough to sneak past the Pontiac Godfathers, 5-4, at Waterfall Park. Niagara Falls pitcher Javier Gallardo earned player of the game honors. Gallardo got the win, improving to 1-4. He allowed 6 hits and walked 2 over 6 innings. Gallardo allowed 3 earned runs. Will Parker earned the save, his 7th, for the Expos.

Carlos Rivera had a big run-scoring single for the Expos in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Niagara Falls leading 4-3 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from Jesús Crisotomo and stroked the single to center. It was his 18th hit of the season, and more importantly, it put the Expos ahead, 5-3.

"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Rivera told the Niagara Falls News.

Niagara Falls now owns a record of 9-19.
