Expos Roll to 8-3 Win Over Reapers
The Niagara Falls Expos knocked off the Grim Reapers, 8-3, at The Coffin. Arnie Birand, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason Niagara Falls won. The right fielder went 2-3 with 2 singles and 2 walks, while scoring 3 runs. The 9th-place Expos lifted their record to 8-18.

Niagara Falls used the timely hitting of Vsevolod Bagdasaroff to seize the win. The third baseman stroked a 2-run single in the top of the third inning to put the Expos on top, 4-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"I was able to barrel up some pitches," said Birand.
