Ayala Lays Hammer Down in 6-0 Win
|
The Delaware 1787 BC picked up a win at Carrier Field, knocking off the Niagara Falls Expos, 6-0. Starting pitcher Greg Ayala played a key role in the triumph. The 1787 BC bumped their record to 11-10 with this latest triumph.
Ayala's performance can only be described as masterful. He notched 12 strikeouts in 8.1 innings while allowing 6 hits. Ayala goes to 2-2 on the year with 28 strikeouts.
"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Ayala said.
