Bulls Win at Mancelona, 6-1
|
Belleville left-hander Arthur Stevenson made an effective start against the Mancelona Torch at Torch Field, leading his team to a 6-1 win. Stevenson, the winner, moves to 3-1. He threw 6.1 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 5 and giving up 2 walks. The Bulls, now 15-4, have been on fire in the early going.
Belleville used the timely hitting of Juan Romero to capture the win. The first baseman stroked a 2-run double in the top of the fourth inning to put the Bulls on top, 2-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but he made it count.
"I just tried to attack the bottom of the zone," Stevenson said.
