Torch Win at Delaware, 5-2

The Mancelona Torch got a stellar performance from pitcher Otton Asmus, who handcuffed the Delaware offense en route to a 5-2 win at Carrier Field. The save went to John Savage, his 3rd this season. The 1787 BC fall to 8-9 and continue their wobbly start to the 2042 season.
It could have been a different outcome for Mancelona, had it not been for Kuan Ru, the 21-year old third baseman . Ru contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the eighth inning to put Mancelona up, 4-2.
"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Mancelona manager Ezequiel Chosson.
