It was high-fives all around for Woody Maxwell at Pontiac Copperdome today.

He got them from his teammates and he got them at the plate during an outstanding hitting performance against the Pontiac Godfathers. Maxwell smashed 5 hits in 6 at-bats on his monster day, leading his club to a 15-5 win.

"Woody was hitting everything," said Hawks manager Leonardo Sánchez. "It really was a special game for him."

In the opposing dugout, Godfathers manager Júlio Villegas told BNN beat writers that Maxwell "ambushed" the club.

"Obviously we didn't have much success against him, but we'll have another chance," he said. "Hopefully, Maxwell oversleeps next time."

Woody Maxwell hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, hit an RBI triple in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 5th, singled in the 7th and grounded out in the 8th.

This season in 16 games, Maxwell has hit at a .302 clip with 19 hits, 5 home runs, 16 RBIs and 11 runs scored.
