The Torch had to overcome a good performance from Grim pitcher Roberto Punyed to claim a 5-4 win at The Coffin. Punyed went 6.2 innings and allowed 4 earned runs. Mancelona reliever Germán Silva picked up the win, bumping his record to 1-0. Roberto Días was collared with the loss. John Savage closed the game out for Mancelona, earning his 1st save.

A key at-bat in the game came in the top of the seventh inning when the Torch sent teenager Rubén Jusino to the plate against Reapers hurler Roberto Días. With a runner on 2nd and a whole stadium watching, the kid controlled his nerves and delivered huge, hitting a double off a first pitch fastball to score 1.

"I just try to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Jusino.

With the win, Mancelona is 6-5.
