1787 BC Jolt Godfathers with Late Rally
|
The Pontiac Godfathers got a superb performance from pitcher Jesús Crisotomo. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Delaware. The 1787 BC won the game, 4-2. In spite of the loss, Crisotomo was named the player of the game. He threw 8 innings of 3-hit ball. Delaware reliever Ron Plummer picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Jesús Crisotomo took the loss. Delaware goes to 7-4 with the win.
Gary Clark was the walk-off hero for Delaware. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the 1787 BC first baseman hit a dramatic 2-run home run to send the teams home.
Clark called the triumph "a good team win."
