Godfathers Win, Hope to Turn Around Slow Start
|
Pontiac Godfathers starter Jesús Crisotomo turned in an exceptional performance against the Belleville Bulls at Pontiac Copperdome, resulting in a Pontiac win, 1-0. Robert Young locked down his 2nd save. Losses have been rare for the Bulls, who are now 5-1.
Tied up with the Bulls in the bottom of the fourth inning, the Godfathers got a boost from right fielder Nathaniel Gordon. With runners on 1st and 2nd, Gordon saw a 1-1 curveball from Arthur Stevenson and hit a run-scoring single to break the stalemate and put Pontiac on top, 1-0.
"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Gordon told the Pontiac Daily.
