The Pontiac Godfathers downed the Washington Generals, 6-3, at Washington Park. The Godfathers were led by Mike O'Halloran, who captured player of the game honors. He went 3 for 3 with a triple, a double, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Robert Young got credit for the save for Pontiac. It was his 1st of the year. Pontiac has a mark of 1-1 after the win.
Pontiac took a 5-3 lead on John Williams's 1st home run of the season. The solo home run came off Washington pitcher Yeong-min Cho in the top of the eighth.
