It was a fun time at ACKC Youth Field, where the Syracuse Storm and Athletic Club KC U-24 tangled.
Pitcher Ronald McDonald was sensational for the Athletic Club KC U-24 in his team's 4-0 triumph over the Syracuse Storm. McDonald received player of the game honors, while picking up the win. McDonald, the winner, moves to 4-7. He threw 6.1 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 2 and giving up 1 walk.
Pedro Píaz had a key at-bat with one out in the bottom of the second for Athletic Club KC. With the bases loaded and the U-24 leading 1-0, he hit a sacrifice fly.
"I like our mindset right now," said Athletic Club KC manager Dani Serrano.
The third-place U-24 have won 6 straight.
