The Boston Patriots and Charleston Battery played an exciting game at Dunkin Donuts Park.
The Boston Patriots took Charleston pitcher Hildebrand Michielsen's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Dunkin Donuts Park. The final score had Boston getting past the Battery, 3-2. Michielsen went 7.1 innings and allowed 1 earned run, striking out 6. Boston reliever Jorge Gil picked up the win, upping his record to 5-3. Hildebrand Michielsen absorbed the loss. Rafael Herrera got the save, his 3rd in 4 chances.
Juan Dávila tagged a home run off Hildebrand Michielsen in the bottom of the fifth. His solo blast put the Patriots on top, 3-2. In all, Dávila had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 3.
"We played a good game and came out on top," said Dávila.
The Patriots bumped their record to 58-44 with this latest triumph.
