The Akron Blimps did just enough to sneak past the Ithaca Fighting Imps, 3-2, at Goodyear Hanger Dome. Akron pitcher Leonardo Sánchez earned player of the game honors. Akron reliever Vicente López was the winner. His record is now 2-0. John Fleming took the loss. Gypsyamber D'Souza was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 11 of 12 save opportunities.

Jeff Camp tagged a home run off John Fleming in the bottom of the eighth. His 2-run blast put the Blimps on top, 3-2. In all, Camp had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
