Akron turned a good effort from starter Michael Ramsey into a win over the Olympia Ogres at Goodyear Hanger Dome. The final score was 3-2. Akron reliever Vicente López picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Virgil Gilbert took the loss. Akron has now won 3 in a row.

Had Hun-hyeon Kang not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 1st, Kang hit a run-scoring double. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Blimps.

Kang called the win "a collective effort."
