Kingston Mangos starter Vicente Castro was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Yucca Valley Yellows, 3-2. Jonathan Cooper got the save, the 2nd for him this season. Kingston is 24-17 and Yucca Valley, with the loss, 32-9.

Kingston center fielder Banu Judham contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With two down, he hit a cutter into right-center field for a run-scoring double. It was his 15th double of the season and put the Mangos ahead, 3-2.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Judham. "And not try to do too much."
