Krewe Get Win, Extend Streak to 4
|
Olympia got a terrific game from left fielder Pepe Savinon. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Crescent City, 7-5. Savinon was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He went 4-5 with a triple, a double, and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Crescent City starter Taine Poutini was credited with the win after throwing 90 pitches over 5 innings. His record now stands at 4-0. Ramón Aragón earned his 11th save in 12 tries.
The Krewe grabbed the lead in the bottom of the fifth. With one out, Vicente Perales, who is tied for 8th in the PAA in triples with 3, hit a 3-run home run off Emery Manhoran, putting Crescent City in front, 6-4. For Perales, it was his 4th home run of the season.
"It feels good to get this one," Perales told the Crescent City Observer.
Crescent City has now won 4 in a row.
