White Walkers Turn Back Northern Virginia, 5-4

The Buffalo White Walkers beat the Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids, 5-4, at Beyond the Wall. The win was largely due to the efforts of designated hitter Je-myung Yu, who captured player of the game honors. He was 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Woodward Haberdash was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 6 of 9 save opportunities. Buffalo has a 3-game win streak, while Northern Virginia has lost 3 in a row.
The White Walkers got a big at-bat from second baseman Max Bortenschlager. For the game, Bortenschlager went 1 for 4 with a double. In the bottom of the sixth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 20th double of the season gave Buffalo a 4-3 lead.
